Introduction

The department of Sociology started its functioning at Siddheswari College as early in 2005 (Academic session of Honours: 2004-2005 and Masters: 2009-2010). This department is enriched with six highly qualified faculty members. Sociology department holds glorious performance continuously. The results of the students are always praiseworthy. Students are involved in different activities like study tour, cultural and national programs, events, sports etc. This department is providing the students with well decorated classroom facilities, seminar and library. The Sociological knowledge can be used across multiple sectors. Sociology is highly demandable subject in the world.
