Introduction

We can say with no hesitation in the mind that Accounting is the pioneer subject of Business Administration study in our country. Now-a-days, Accounting is one of the largest academic sectors not only in Bangladesh but also all over the world. Honours and Masters Courses in Accounting is one of the most demandable and essential degrees under National University, Bangladesh. Accounting has introduced itself as a highly disciplinary knowledge based professional subject. Accounting has flourished into so many branches in other Business Study courses that it has a vast scope in career building and profession practice. The graduates of Accounting have found the opportunities in so many different job fields both private and public sectors such as BCS, manufacturing and service oriented firms, financial and legal firms, educational institutions and non-profit organizations as Accountant, Cost and Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant, Corporate Secretary, Teacher of Accounting as well. For this great demand of Accounting, since 1996 Siddheswari College, one of the renowned educational institutions of Dhaka the country, has started a Professional Accounting Study Course through experienced administration and qualified faculty to have the optimum goal. Accounting Department of Siddheswari College is running its academic programs with curricular and extra-curricular activities successfully. For this reason, Accounting Department of this College has been introduced itself as the biggest Department of the institution from the beginning and also Accounting Department is committed to hold this achievement as well.
