Introduction

In our country, the international language English is essentially being taught as a second language. Hence, it is very convenient to study BA (Hon’s) and MA in English under National University, the large sector of imparting higher education in Bangladesh. Through these courses the students will develop the advanced critical reading, writing and research skills necessary to participate confidently and efficiently with other English studies scholars and professionals and to apply disciplinary knowledge beyond the field of English studies. Moreover, the graduates in English find opportunity with many different public and private sector organizations such as, local and national government, financial and legal firms, educational institutions, National Health Service (NHS) and voluntary and charitable organizations as well. In these regards, one of the renowned educational institutions of Dhaka region, Siddheswari College has been providing the students a standard knowledge in English through the guidance of a qualified and experienced faculty which will help them to achieve their desired objectives of life since 2001.
